I plugged this guy in as soon as it came in the mail, right in the middle of the kitchen, our problem area. I was worried that the sound may bother me or the dog, but I could barely hear it and the dog couldn't care less. We've had it in for about a week now, and though we still get those darn ants in the kitchen, they are much less and act super weird when in close range of the repeller. I really enjoy that this is an eco-friendly, chemical free method to pest control, but we may need something more for the ants than this.
