This is probably one of the best designed car mounts I've seen. My most favorite part of it is the clip on the suction cup. So many times I've given up on gadgets with suction cups because they just will not stick or stay stuck. This clip gives just a little extra suction and hold the mount snug onto the windshield. The car mount will literally hold almost any phone, just be careful of the placement of your phone buttons. I tried 4 phones in this my 7 inch ZTE Lever, my slightly smaller 6 inch galaxy E5 with no case, the older 5 inch straight talk model pictured and my boyfriends LG G3 in an Otterbox. All fit securely into the car mount. My only problem with the windshield mount is that it does become difficult to place if you want to use your phone while driving (ie. change a song) and not mess with seeing the road.
